I wanted to love The Lindsay Lodge. The exterior is grand, in a nice location overlooking the Applegate River, but the interior needs some TLC. We stayed in a duplex with a king bed on the first floor and two twins on the second level. The bathroom had a rusted tub and no shower. The tiles showed wear. My husband found the king bed very uncomfortable and fell out of it twice. The wall a/c unit did not reach the top level, but the lodge staff provided a cot for our daughter to sleep on the main level. There was a porch shared with the room next door; ours needed serious cobwebbing. I would have loved a safe in the room. Walls were thick enough that we did not hear other guests. Breakfast was fruit, coffee, bread and breakfast sandwiches. The interior of the Lodge (which is separate from th
This place will be in heart for eternity. My partner and I got engaged here, we were treated like family here and will compare every single experience to the one we had here. So suffice to say, I am a fan for life. The Lindsay is the perfect amalgam of country and luxury. I felt at home and perfectly cared for, which is no small thing. The bed was perfect, the restaurant was sexy, the staff filled our days with kindness and the room and tub??? Deluxe my friends!!! I have so much more to say but I suggest (and I don’t do this lightly) that you go experience it for yourself. It’s heaven.
I was part of a gathering of about 40 at the Lindsay last week, what a great venue. The restaurant/bar/outdoor areas are comfortable and the lodge itself with river views makes a great setting. So Sarah and I went back for dinner for 2. Staff members were friendly and "on it", and the food was delicious. Sarah loves brussel sprouts so we have ordered them at many places, The Lindsay's version was the best! We will be back to try more of the menu and hope to book relatives into the Lodge when they visit.
The onsite restaurant was closed without any notice and there is no other restaurant or place to eat for a radius of 45 minutes, so the location is not the best. The room's AC was on its last breath and did not heat up for more than 4-5 hours. And the toilet was clogged and the only onsite personnel told that there is a common toilet for the floor if it clogs up again, this is after waiting for them/Lena to come. Lena said that they will serve breakfast (do not know what) at 7 AM and we planned accordingly, but nope nothing. We left at 8 AM, since no one was available on site in the morning and the phone was not working. No television, and the bathtub is a quite old hot tub. The room was not at all clean with blemishes everywhere (check the pictures). We had to listen to the sounds through
I hadn't been into the Lindsay Lodge and Restaurant..since tthe ownership and name change. Wonderful rivers edge outdoor dining as well. Decided to order every appetizer and dessert they had on the menu during Saturday afternoon happy hour. Was surprised at what consistent high quality dishes, sauces, spicing and flavors were served. Was completely shocked at what they did with their amazing baked brussel sprouts, and broccolini....Vegetables I've always imagined the devil creating. The flavors and textures were pure bliss...including crispy potatoes with the best broccolni spears ive ever tasted, chicken wings, arugula salad, warm donuts, and a seasonal apple spice take on bread pudding. 4 appetizers + 4 mixed drinks + 2 desserts = all for under $120 plus tip. Table service, and a
