Customer Reviews
The Lincoln Hotel is a wonderful option when visiting Maine. The building is gorgeous, and during the holidays it’s truly magical — the décor makes the entire space feel warm and festive. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and the overall design of the hotel is really lovely. There are a few operational challenges that could definitely be improved - coffee/breakfast area is backed up, especially on weekends, since there’s only one person working. Simply adding a second staff member would make a big difference. Additionally, if there’s live music in the lobby, the sound carries right up to the rooms, which isn’t ideal if you have kids trying to sleep. The bar also seemed understaffed, we couldn’t get a drink at our table because there were no servers working the room. There is so much po
BEWARE- I rarely write reviews - Disappointing Experience - No Flexibility We had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. When an unexpected situation came up and we couldn’t make our trip, they strictly enforced their policy with zero flexibility or understanding. We understand policies exist, but basic hospitality should include some level of human consideration. The general manager was unhelpful and unwilling to offer any reasonable solution. If there’s any chance your plans might change, beware - they will not accommodate you. We recommend saving your money and booking somewhere with better customer service.
We arrived at 4 p.m. in mid-December. The Christmas decorations were as spectacular as ever. For the last five years we have come at this time. The hotel has changed. There was no welcome proseco, the quaint little hot chocolate station was not set up. There was nobody at the bar. The rooms are spectacular. Spacious, elegant, romantic, and the linens are top notch, the bathrooms are heavenly, and the gas fireplace creates a beautiful ambience. We attended a Christmas concert and arrived back at the hotel just before nine. A surly bartender was closing up, and there is no bar service or food after 8:45. this is a hotel!!!! The front desk clerk had told us the bar would be open until 10. Sadly, we went to bed. I love this old building with its charming nooks and crannies, but I fear that t
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel, and I am delighted to share my outstanding experience. The hotel's beauty is truly breathtaking, with impeccable decor. However, it was the staff's exceptional service and warm hospitality that truly set this hotel apart. The team was extremely helpful, attentive, and personable, ensuring that all my needs were met throughout my stay. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making me feel valued and appreciated. While the price may be higher than some other options, I firmly believe it is well worth the investment. The hotel's luxurious atmosphere and exceptional service made for a truly unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a high-end exp
We stayed at The Lincoln Hotel in Biddeford for four nights in September. The Lincoln stands out in our minds as being one of the most comfortable hotels we’ve stayed in. ||Our corner room on the fourth floor was huge and beautifully designed, with an incredibly comfortable bed, a cozy couch and fireplace, gorgeous rugs. It was very dark in the room at night (yay!) so we slept really well. The bathroom was huge and lovely – our only quibble was the that shower water pressure could have been better. Our room had great Wifi, a good-sized fridge, and we loved the water and sparkling water “on tap” with refillable glass bottles on every floor – that was such a nice touch. ||All other beverage and light meal needs are covered by a great little coffee shop downstairs (unfortunately with a broken
