The Lamplight Inn

Lamplight, Lavallette, NJ – Disappointing Stay I just returned from a 5-day stay, and unfortunately, aside from the convenient location, the experience was very underwhelming. The property felt more like a money grab than a place designed with even the slightest guest comfort in mind. The bathroom was advertised as having marble, but it was simply floor tile on the walls—tiny, cramped, and poorly thought out. It only had a pedestal sink, no ventilation, and zero storage. I ended up lining my belongings on the windowsill. There was also no closet, just wall hooks (with no hangers), which came across as cheap and inconvenient—and something we weren’t informed about ahead of time. The staircase to the second floor was steep, worn, and frankly a safety hazard. Housekeeping was only provided up

Customer service is top notch. Sophia in the office was very accommodating. Rooms were clean and the location was perfect! The pool is an added bonus too! Thank you for making our family vacation memorable! See you next time!

We enjoyed our stay at Lamplight Inn. The location is perfect! close to restaurants, shops, one block from the beach. Easy check in with a friendly staff. The room was clean. It had a microwave, refrigerator and blow dryer. The bed is a bit firm but comfortable. We were on the first floor, you can hear the people above us walking around. Definitely recommend staying here.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights, which is something my husband has always wanted to do since he vacationed in Lavalette growing up. I must say, it was awesome and perfect. The desk clerk was wonderful and polite. Their keyless entry made coming in and out easy and stress free. Room was immaculately clean and perfectly sized. My only suggestion is to not be next to the office because the side entry door opens and closes often. Otherwise, wonderful gem of a hotel in the heart of the Jersey Shore!
