The Kent Motel, Niagara

Where do I even begin? I’ve been coming to Niagara-on-the-Lake for years — love the area, the wineries, and the charm — but I’ve always found the accommodations a bit underwhelming compared to places like Napa or Tuscany. That is, until I discovered The Kent.||Honestly, I hesitated to write this because I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag and make it harder to book next time (or see prices go up!). But it wouldn’t be fair to keep this place a secret — travelers deserve to know how special it is.||I stayed in the suite on the first floor, and it was perfect: stylish in a retro way, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. Really a pleasant, quiet, beautiful hotel with great modern vibe. Everything was clean. Staff was very responsive and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Pastries and coffee were so delicious! Flaky and fresh and hit the spot. Check in/out was a breeze. For the price it was a steal. No breakfast included though, but having the lounge available Thursday-Mon in the morning was nice.

The Kent Motel is a warm and wonderful place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised how clean and peaceful. Upon our arrival we met an amazing host, Olivia who was so kind and answered all of our many questions. Once we entered room 209, we found a very clean room with nice quality towels (well stocked). The room had many places to store clothing and things.|The bathroom was all white and extremely clean. I was excited to discover two nice robes awaiting us. The Motel was thoughtful to include a black face towel for those of us who wear make-up. This was a great, affordable option. That was only a 10 minute drive to Niagara on the lake. The homes and area is gorgeous so the ride is very enjoyable. We went during a time when the pantry/food was not available, but we enjoyed the room and it was nice and quiet. Very clean.

We stayed here for 1 night after a wedding and it was great. The rooms have a nice mix of vintage and modern day comforts. The bathrooms are thoughtfully upgraded and the bed was comfortable! It was nice and quiet at night and we were able to get delicious lattes and cappuccino in the morning.
