The Kenilworth Hotel - Airport West

I stayed here at the end of January while traveling for a funeral. The hotel itself was okay, but there were several issues that made the experience frustrating. The reservation was made for us by a relative over the phone, and they provided a credit card to be used for the room. When we checked in, the front desk asked us to swipe a card for a charge. When I asked what the charge was for, I was told it was a security deposit. Since we had just finished traveling and were tired, I assumed it was simply the deposit amount and went ahead and paid it. The room itself was small and felt tight for my partner, my son, and me. The furniture was older and quite worn, with paint flaking off in places. Disappointed with front desk attendees. Not very accommodating. Went to the front to let them know that the phone & mini frig in our room did not work. I was told they would send someone up right away, that never happened. Wanted to check out a day early due to pending snow coming & had a 12 hour drive ahead of us. Asked to speak with a manager about possibly getting a credit for one night, and was told the general manager would be in at 8am, only to learn he was not coming in at all. We checked out & I asked for a receipt & the young lady at the front desk was rude & said she couldn’t give us one because we booked online, not true, I’ve stay here in the past and got one. She gave me the email addresses for the general manager and his assistant & it’s been over a week & neither resp

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh options. The reception staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. The cleanliness was excellent, both in the rooms and in the common areas. The service was always cordial and efficient, which made our stay even more pleasant. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

This place has great potential. The rooms are dated but you can tell current management has done their best with them and a renovation is coming. Lobby is beautiful. Bed wasn’t the best but served its purpose. Snow removal morning of my flight left a bit to be desired.

I had an excellent stay! The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service, which made my stay even smoother. I loved that there was water and cookies available in the lobby at all times. Overall, a perfect experience.
