The Inn at Kampfires

If I could give them a zero, I would. On the day of arrival I called the office to let them know I would be arriving late. They left the information that I needed to check in, in an unsecure location. First red flag! If the door code had worked, anyone could have been in my room!|The door code provided was supposed to be the last 4 of my phone number, but the code in the paperwork was completely different. I tried both and neither worked. I was not able to get into my room. They provided no after hours emergency phone number. After multiple attempts and multiple phone calls that went unanswered, we left and checked into a hotel down the road. I called the next morning, again unanswered, and left a voicemail, hoping to have the issue resolved. That was a week ago. I never even received the

I made a reservation here for four nights; however, I only stayed one night because the room had a strong musty odor. I didn’t want to force myself to stay for the remaining three nights. I spoke with the owner, Amy, who unfortunately said there were no refunds and insisted that there was no problem with the room. The room did have a very comfortable bed, and it also had a small refrigerator. I had a strong Wi-Fi connection and appreciated the complimentary firewood. I just wish the owner had been more accommodating with refunds.

i LOVED my stay here. This was my first time staying in a place like this alone and I was nervous about safety, especially as a girl. Once I arrived all worries disappeared. The room was clean and secure as there were automatic locks with number pads x2. The other guests were also very quiet and respectful which was a huge plus. The room was a perfect size and had everything I needed (although there was no shampoo/conditioner but i had brought my own). The complimentary snacks was a fantastic idea as well! All around 5 stars :)

This place is WONDERFUL! We had a great time. The rooms were clean and the beds just right. Amy is a pleasure to work with. We had a kind of complicated order with 4 parties of different sizes arriving at different times and Amy took care if it with ease. Caitlin and Eva did great work at the ice cream bar. The pub style food truck was excellent! If you need a staging area for a wedding, which we did, it was the perfect place!

My wife and I stayed in the Inn at Kampfires. Our room was clean and cozy for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed our private firepit and played horseshoes. The room had a blu-ray player and there were tons of movies to borrow. Loved it! The site was a short drive to downtown Brattleboro and local attractions so that was also a huge plus. Amy was wonderful and made sure we had a great stay. We will be back.
