The Inn At Glen Sanders Mansion

Came here on a Travelzoo promotion. Receptionist was young and rude the entire stay. She never greeted us, thanked us, or showed the most common courtesy. Even when we greeted her first, more than once she did it respond. Room was nice, but receptionist was not open to anything like early check-in or late checkout, although room was never touched by housekeeping until hours after our check-out. (We stayed on the grounds for an event and saw when they actually entered.) Restaurant manager was gracious and hospitable. Gave us a lovely restaurant tour. I would definitely eat in the restaurant, but would not stay in the hotel again because of the front desk staff.

We had a fantastic experience at the Glen Sanders Inn! Excellent service, beautiful rooms, beautiful views of the lake from the room and from the patio. We travelled with our adult children and it was so nice to be able to sit all together around the fire pit and later gather in the living room in our suite. ||The breakfast was delicious, served buffet style with lots of choices, all of it top notch. ||The style is romantic and elegant, light and airy; not the usual dark and gloomy old hotel. The hotel is clearly newly renovated, everything is new and spotlessly clean.||We definitely will be back, because this is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in this area and we would consider it for family reunions and events.

I've been reading the reviews on the Glen Sanders and to be honest with you, I am totally bewildered by these comments. First of all, let me say that my daughter recently got married on June 30, 2019 and we had the reception at The Glen Sanders that day and I just can't give enough credit to the "WHOLE STAFF" who were so attentive to my guest and us during the celebration and after. This was my first time there was the day of the wedding. My wife & daughter were there many times to make arrangements and such. The place from what I understand did a total 100% renovation and it shows. There now is a beautiful staircase in the center of the lobby if you want to take the stairs to your rooms instead of the elevator. The good - The rooms were nice (I was with a group, so I was in a few rooms). The staff was ALL pleasant & helpful. From the front desk, to cleaning personnel I passed in the hallway, everyone acknowledged me (said hello, whatever). Requests were quickly handled. The setting was nice, and sitting around the fire fun and relaxing.||The bad - The worst thing about the hotel was the breakfast. The only items were pastries/muffins, water, and coffee/tea/hot chocolate from a machine (at least on the first morning. The 2nd morning same food, but hot beverage machine wasn't working (nor was the ice machine). They did come to fix it, but there was a wait. Many hotels have warm food - scrambled eggs, bacon /sausage, but at the least most have a waffle maker, some fruit, instant oatmeal and som

We made a reservation to stay at the Glen Sanders mansion for the union college weekend. We reserved two rooms in April, approximately five months before our stay, to be sure that we would have a place to stay on this busy weekend. ||When we arrived, they gave us one room downstairs right next to the ball room; and a second room upstairs literally across from the bridal suite where they were serving food and had an open bar. The place was as rowdy as a frat house. When we complained downstairs, The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful; and told us that they were fully booked and we were welcome to leave, if we wished. We took them up on their offer and reserved two rooms across town at the Hampton Inn.||Just a few comments on the rooms. They were old, dingy, loud and were not up to eve
