We just left a fabulous friends’ weekend. I have been coming here for the last 36 summers with my family and now we come with friends for MLK Weekend as well. As usual, we had a blast! We love interacting with the animals, having “old fashioned fun” playing board games, family trivia/Bingo nights, swimming, and eating the delicious farm fare. A weekend away feels like a week off and a step back to a simpler time. As a mom, a vacation without having to plan one meal or activity is truly relaxing!

This time it was our 5th but not the last time vacationing there. I don’t want to repeat what others are saying but I really want to emphasize my appreciation to the gardener who takes a great care of this big property. The flower arrangements are really beautiful all over the place. They make this place look different, much more attractive and colorful. It’s a great color therapy just to look at this beauty. Thank you so much for keeping it up!

We spent 2 nights here with family for Thanksgiving.||As first timers, we weren’t sure what to expect. Overall, we had a great time, enjoyed the activities, thought the food was pretty good, the people were all nice and provided good service, but much of the property was run-down, particularly our room (Trailsend). ||Food: B+|Homemade pastries and breads were great. Provided lots of options including gluten free substitutes (bread, pasta). Our servers were very friendly and service was swift. Overall we thought the food was pretty good. And our standards are very high! ||Facilities: C+|We stayed in the Trailsend building in a 2-bedroom unit. The building was built around 1980 and basically looks like it hasn’t been touched since (outside and inside). The building really needs to be updated

This was a birthday weekend for over 100 family and friends. The setting could not have been more perfect!!! Hiking, horse back riding, swimming, feeding and petting the farm animals, warm fires in the comfy sitting rooms, absolutely delicious meals!!!, outstanding hospitality by all the staff, accommodations for the youngest (6 weeks old) to the oldest (97)!!! It was an absolutely magical weekend. Thank you for giving us a great venue for a truly memorable celebration!

Average food at best, slow waitress service, lumpy beds, worn out rooms, ill maintained facilities, and a high price point. The concept of staying in a working farm geared towards families is great and years ago EHF did a decent job implementing this. The review from April 2025 accurately sums up in detail the current state of EHF. It needs a total revamp.
