The Hunt House Bed and Breakfast

The Hunt House gives you the space that you cannot get in a hotel. In my opinion, it is a much better value. Less than 15 minutes from Shelby, it provides a country atmosphere with a small town ambience. The next time I'm in need of accommodations in Shelby, North Carolina I will reach out to the Hunt House B&B first!

I stayed at the Hunt House recently while visiting family. The house is gorgeous, filled with antique furniture and rugs. It is extremely well built and quiet. No creaks or groans that you might expect from an older home, just the sound of the air conditioner or an occasional passing train. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a weekend getaway looking for some place different to explore. There's some outstanding hiking destinations not far to the north, i.e. South Mountain State Park.

The Hunt House is a beautiful home that is very clean and well kept. The manager, Kendra is very kind and accommodating. I felt safe, and access to the home was simple. This is a great stop for anyone visiting the Shelby area. I will stay here again on future trips down.

We actually stayed here with a group that rented out the whole house. The house is very nice. You can really tell where they have did some updates but still managed to keep the historical charm. They are still updating the house so do not expect a modern look. The bedroom and bathroom was very large and the bed was super comfortable. We really enjoyed this experience.

Hunt House was perfectly peaceful. It’s remodeled and clean with beautifully maintained antiques everywhere. I read on the porch, walked down to get food from the Depot, hiked the trail on the disc golf course, and thoroughly enjoyed the calm and solitude. The kitchen is stocked for guests. The sheets, towels, and bath mats in my room were soft and plush (important to me). Thank you for a beautiful getaway. —Sarah
