The Holiday Cottage

Design & Decor: 10 out of 10. Comfort 7 out of 10. The carefully crafted piece of nostalgia showcases form over function. It’s beautiful—no doubt. But the meticulously selected pieces (sofas and chairs) are not comfortable. The tubs—though true to the movie—don’t work very well as showers with water that seems to pool underneath them making it slippery to exit. The one bedroom with a fireplace is romantic—until the flue lets out all the heat leaving the room very cold—which requires the use of the fireplace to keep warm, but it gets TOO warm—and within ten minutes sets off the heat alarms throughout the house—making the room unusable for sleeping on cold nights. This cottage was amazing. Girl's trip and we had so much fun. We all snuggled up in the upstairs bedroom and watched the movie, some for the first time. Great memories made here.

Amazing attention to detail was put into this labor of love! The Holiday Cottage truly feels like an old English cottage and the home is very cozy, perfect for a cold winter night with friends. We loved the multiple fireplaces and the charm of the entire experience. Only thing missing is a visit from Jude Law! Host was responsive and instructions were very clear.

We had a great girls trip! The Cottage was perfect for our needs! We enjoyed Roo Vineyards, shopping in Downtown Blue Ridge and yummy lunch at The Pasta Market. Mahjong in front of the cozy fireplace was so fun!

Great stay at the Holiday Cottage! Our family enjoyed the cozy fire and intentionally decorated space. My wife was so happy with our visit! We will be back.
