The Historic Northern Hotel

Incredible people run this charming Inn. It was like being on a movie set. Loved our stay and the view was memorable. High points were the wonderful linens and super comfortable mattress. The open communal spaces were exceptional. Hidden is a beach and future dock area that adds to the recreational choices. Just steps from your room you will find an adorable coffee shop and the historic Lenard Paul. We are definitely coming back with friends!

Leslie was amazing making sure our visit was fantastic. I loved the bed it was very comfortable. It was very clean and comfortable and the views and outdoor amenities were amazing. BBQ, beautiful hanging plants,new deck, fire pit and gorgeous tables, chairs and umbrella’s to enjoy the view. You can also walk down to the water which is a short walk! Highly recommend

Our Host, Kirsten (sorry if i spelled it wrong), was excellent!! She was very hospitable and a wonderful cook. We didn't want to leave. One of the other couples staying here decided to stay longer since they were enjoying their stay so much! The Inn has very quaint rooms and a great deck - its a perfect place to unplug if you want and enjoy peace and quite. They also have a dock if you bring a boat and the view is spectacular from the deck and the dock. Priest lake is a beautiful place and i would, without a doubt, stay at the Old Northern Inn again.

Tucked away in North Idaho is the most beautiful lake in the world...but don't tell anyone! Priest Lake is the most pristine lake we've seen in our many travels. It's busy during the summer, but we enjoy the beauty of the lake with autumn colors. The Old Northern Inn took us back to the earlier years...cozy fireplace, comfy living room, quaint dining area...David and Bea are fantastic hosts/chefs. Greeted with a glass of wine, a seat on the deck overlooking the lake was exactly what we needed. Small, quaint bedrooms with bath and surrounded with beautiful quilts. A great place for a getaway but only until mid-October...then you have to wait until spring!

Such a historic gem! This is a quaint, quiet inn with gorgeous view! We had the place to ourselves. Enjoyed the large space and private entrance of the Kalispell Suite. Being rained in on our first night, we enjoyed watching the storm blow in from the warmth of our bed. I would love to hear all the stories of this place. Property under new ownership. No longer a B&B, but there is a nice communal area with a coffee station and seating area. Thomas, the owner, was very communicative and accomodating. We really appreciated his availability upon check-in. Plentiful hot water, good water pressure, warm bedding. Was worried about old building draftiness on a cold night, but it was not a problem at all! Thermostat and fan in room kept us very comfortable. Walking distance to a general s
