Customer Reviews
The Historic Hotel was the perfect place to spend a couple of days during our trip through Wyoming. First, the historic character of the building was very cool and the nearby shops fun to browse. Our suite was clean and comfortable, and our kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals for ourselves. It made a great base to go out an explore the nearby Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. The service was quick and friendly. A great deal!
Quaint historic hotel and speakeasy! This was a delightful stay. The owner, Myles, was very accommodating. After a long day of travel I wanted to reward myself with a comfortable bed and nice dinner. They did not disappoint. ||The room was on the first floor as I have some mobility issues. I felt safe as a solo traveler. Very big room with two queen beds, large shower and bathroom, good sized refrigerator (larger than the ones they have at other hotels), nice tv on a swivel so it was easy to see from the bed. ||I got in around 5:30 on a Saturday and was tired and hungry. Myles made a reservation at the Speakeasy for me at 7. The Speakeasy did not disappoint. It was in full Saturday swing. Lovely dinner with salad, perfectly cooked prime rib, potato and vegetables. They had a duo playing
We had already stayed at another Old West-style hotel in Big Timber, MT, so we knew what to expect, with sink in the room and toilets down the hall, but we were surprised to see that the Greybull had installed an in-room shower and a small fridge! The Asian lady manager was nice and welcoming, and the room was spotless and the bed comfy. We just love to see these lovely vintage sites being put to great use!
Positive: We loved the charm this old hotel had. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting to be staying in an old hotel lol. I'm so used to staying in more updated hotels that it threw us off a little. Once we got used to it, there wasn't a problem at all. Negative: I was thinking the staff would change the towels. Which didn't happen. Also the batteries to the remote needed to be changed as power ran out of the remote and we had to unplug the tv itself to turn it off.
My friend and I had a fantastic stay at the Greybull Hotel. It really felt like we had stepped into another time period, with so much character and a wonderful atmosphere. A huge part of what made our trip so memorable was the incredible service we received. The front desk clerk, Rose, was absolutely amazing. She was so welcoming and friendly, and she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness and hospitality truly made our visit feel special.
