My family of 4 had a truly great experience at the Hartness House! As we were planning our stay, the staff (Nina) was communicative and accommodating…they answered my questions and helped us pick the perfect sized room for our family. the room was so clean and comfortable, we all slept great (much needed after a full day skiing/snowboarding at Okemo, 25 min away). The mansion is just incredible, full of antiques and luxury-level charm. Tyler took us on a fascinating tour of the underground tunnels, he painted a crystal clear image for us of what it was like to live during a time where innovation and leadership shaped history. There is just so much to see and explore! The home is close to some great restaurants…we highly recommend!

I arrived on a beautiful, sunny day in Oct. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous and I loved looking at all the detailing and memorabilia. I stayed in room 1. The bed was very comfortable and having a private bathroom was very convenient. I think there was only one other room rented out for the night, so it was very quiet. If you are a no fuss type of traveler, you will love this place. I do wish I had asked the staff in the morning about the tunnels. Not sure if there are still tours.

I know this as my mother in law, thank God, had been there just before we arrived to drop off a basket with cheese and a bottle of wine and told us about this. Some guests that were leaving for dinner felt that they needed to walk her out to her car for her safety.||Upon arrival there was one lady I found who directed me to an envelope sitting by the front door with one room key. She told me to drive around to the back and check myself in. The directions with my key said if it was after 4pm to go straight to the r

Nina is the back bone of this property and saved it from ruin. Enjoyed our overnight here and the history of the property. Very clean room with all the basic amenities. Would recommend.
