The Guesthouses at Southernmost Beach Resort – Avalon Bed and Breakfast - RECENTLY RESTORED

My husband and I came for 3 nights. This was our first time in Key West. We LOVED this resort. Perfect location and had a lot of fun. We loved the daily pool bar fun - rum tasting, making Margarita’s and other fun activities. Amy and Kasey (Pinapple pool) were so much fun and kept us laughing. Walkable to so many attractions, shops, restaurants, bars.

I had a wonderful stay at the Guest House of Southernmost. The property is charming, clean, and very well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere that truly captures the Key West vibe. The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect—close to beaches andrestaurants, yet peaceful and private. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Key West.

The place was very clean! Pools were great, happy hour was great! So close to the beach. We walked to all the activities each night. Hope to definitely be back!

Duval Gardens room 813 smells like mildew but worse than that, it is infested with bed bugs. I’m covered in bug bites from my neck to ankles and still trying to resolve this with management. I was moved to a room far away from Duval Gardens, which saved me from more bites on my last night, but now trying to deal with sanitizing clothes and replacing luggage. One of the managers onsite, Anne Marie, was rude and argumentative, which surprised me. Southernmost Beach Resort is not properly maintaining their Duval Gardens guest house nor properly training all of their management staff.

The room was great except no microwave and a cabinet door that wouldn't stay closed. But the resort is very nice and welcoming.
