The Grayson Hotel Miami

My overall stay at this hotel was good. I receieved an upgrade to a bigger room, My room was large spacious, the patio was HUGE, the bathroom was nice shower was big, it was separate from the bathroom, it was clean and the bed was mostly comfortable. Only gripe is that the shower was not draining the water and it was building up like a kiddie pool, lol. The front desk staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. I will say the restaurants are grossly expensive. I ate breakfast at the restaurant solid food, friendly staff. 39 bucks for something at first watch or other breakfast places that would have been 15-20 bucks. Finding a hotel in Miami is challenging, lots of options, tons of areas and many need remodels. I was so pleasantly happy to find the Grayson. Rooms are space, super clean, excellent location, huge gym, and exceptional service. I don’t normally leave reviews but today I just had to. When I arrived my luggage handle had been destroyed in travel. I went asked the front desk to throw away my luggage and to my delight when I returned not only did the team recognize me but Daliana one of the front of house team members had repaired my luggage. Out of all the luxury spots I have had the great please of visiting never have I ever had someone been so kind and go the extra mile like this. Not a great experience. I don't like the super late check-in. I probably wouldn't of minded this if I had taken a red eye to get here in the first place while traveling with a toddler. Valet is pretty expensive as you'll charged in advance at $24 per day. My one night cost me $48. Months in advance I called and asked if a sleep own or crib would be available and was told there would be. By the time check in had come and room entered it was missing. Called several times only to be told they had ran out. Upon arriving to the room I let out little one crawl about and noticed a decent helping of dust and dirt his clothes collected on the floor. ||For the good, they had a decent selection of drinks and food onsite. Positive: The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast waitresses need training in customer service. Negative: The staff was professional but not friendly. The receptionist was on her phone instead of looking up to see that people were waiting to speak with her. The floor in the room was filthy, we had to wear the slippers provided.

The room was great but the bathtub was not cleaned well. It made us question the rest of the room’s cleanliness. I would’ve cleaned it again before use anyway so no worries…. My main issue is that I prepaid $54 for breakfast to avoid any issue. My husband called the front desk and told her we prepaid for breakfast, he asked can we get it delivered to the room? She said yes and transferred him directly to room service, we ordered, room service arrived to the room and charged us another $100 for breakfast and said we did not order from the right place. We paid and said we would talk to the front desk. The food was okay, not worth $100, the omelet was very salty, the chicken for the chicken/waffles was bland/ had too much breading.
