The Genevieve Hotel

We loved The Genevieve! Beautiful property. Our room was ginormous and the bath area was super clean and tiled throughout. Ridiculously big shower plus soaking tub. Expertly furnished. We had a beautiful private patio but a storm prevented us from using it. Fireplace & huge TV. Super quiet area. Comfy bed and separate make-up area. Lovely wine hour & breakfast accompanying reservation. Great location. Walkable to a few wineries, several restaurants, & local museums. A fun wine “passport” to local wineries. We will definitely return!

Two nights, large King room with a veranda. The great; the room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. It was also very clean and had some great touches like a fireplace and a jazz sound track… The good: Amenities like firepits, library and whiskey tastings and bikes to borrow are cute. The Victor is right next door and essential first night dining for proximity. Okay: Breakfast was alright, hard to compete in a town like Santa Ynez with so many options. The service was inconsistent, however, strong praise for the evening shift front desk; she was great both nights. Will stay again.

Love everything about this inn! Romantic, clean, relaxing and perfect getaway for a long weekend. I can understand why others would choose this location for a wedding. Although I don't get to go to the restaurant this time, I have in the past and The Victor completes the stay perfectly. Love how spacious the rooms are and the bathrooms are a favorite for me. There is nothing bad I could say about this location and would return in a heartbeat. Also, such friendly staff with may interaction

My husband and I were delighted to find this lovely small hotel on a very rainy day. Our intention was to drive further north but the weather was so bad that we had to stop for the night. Imagine our surprise to discover the Genevieve. Although this is a small hotel, the attitude and service operates more like a high-end Bed and Breakfast. Guests gathered in the large fireplace room for wine and charcuterie. Later, dessert was offered, as well. Breakfast was served at individual tables in the same lovely room. Our large and comfortable room appears to have been one of the smaller rooms in the hotel. At over 400 sq. ft., the room had a raised alcove with a large free-standing tub, a comfortable king bed, seating, a generous closet and a long bathroom counter. We were sad to rush o

We were really impressed and surprised by this stay. I booked it through TripAdvisor and I saw that it was reasonably priced and offered restaurant and bar, which marked all of my check boxes. Once we arrived, it was a little outside Solvang which was the focus point of my trip but it was so worth it! It’s a beautiful Victorian house, beautiful patio decorated with fire pits and patio lights. Great restaurants within walking distance and on site. Walking inside it was so luxurious and the attention to detail was beautiful. Light music of piano or light jazz (including in the room!) the room had a good sized balcony with table and two chairs to admire the pretty decorations outside and sounds of the fountain by the front door.
