We stayed in the King room on the first floor, I believe it was room 2. My husband brought me there for my Birthday/Valentine’s Day gift. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights there. It was during a snowstorm. We were the only ones there on Saturday night. It was absolutely great! So much history it was Beautiful. The last day we were there we got to meet the owner and his lovely wife. We talked about the paranormal and things that he had seen. It was absolutely great! We both can’t wait to go back! I really hope he has a paranormal night there soon. The food was absolutely amazing! We had dinner the first night and it was great! We had breakfast the morning we left . The amazing owners paid for our breakfast! We will definitely be back! We can’t wait! This place was awesome!! For some rea
The hotel is so charming! Plenty of historic elements but still beautifully modern where it counts. We stayed in Room 1. It was small but very elegant. The bathroom tile is beautiful, the linens were great quality and the bed was very comfortable. The little hallway coffee bar is such a nice touch and the pastries in the morning even more so. The staff were all so nice and welcoming, especially Felicia who actually called me to welcome us to check in early because our room was ready. So nice! My only tiny tiny observation is that the emergency door that many guests use slams shut very loudly and since our room was right next to the door we were constantly woken up.
My daughter and I have always been interested in the paranormal and yes we watched all kinds if shows on it together. For her 30th birthday we booked a room there . Felicia , the lovely manager upgraded our room Free when she heard we wanted the room with the most activity. The rooms are fairly small but truly just right too.. they even put a card there for my daughter, the beds so comfy, the bath gorgeous with all nice amenities in there. I have to mention the restaurant too , it was perfect. Salmon done right, but the garlic bread tower you need to get . Sooo good . See pics below. When we first arrived we were taken on a tour where our engaging front desk agent explained all the history of this beautiful inn. We did have paranormal activity too which was exciting and won’t disclose
Went New Years Eve after making reservations for 12 at the restaurant and wanted to have cocktails and appetizers primarily but some did decide to have dinners. The owners Dave and Jackie are the best hostesses I've encountered in a long time as both priorities are their patrons. We were treated as if we were invited to their home. The atmosphere, with all the fireplaces going and winter decorations in each room and the cleanliness and menus from cocktails to food could not be surpassed by any other restaurant in the area. The location is so convenient and quick from Westerly. The staff, our bartender Nicky, portrayed the same attitude as the owners. Highly recommend to give them a chance as you won't be disappointed. Thanks again !
We have always enjoyed eating here, finally stayed overnight at the inn in one of their outdoor facing rooms. What a great stay! You may say, but what the heck are you doing on the RI coast in December (in a snowstorm)! and you would be right - we have family in the area, but you should try it! The rooms have heated bathrooms, and lots of hooks, and storage space. Loved the shower, with its spacious niche. The bed is real sheets and blankets, great pillows and mattress. The people are so nice, offering to clean off our car in the morning. They make a great old fashioned - we need to try it for new year’s sometime! It’s a great slice of history and more comfortable than even an upscale chain hotel.
