What a great visit. I was in town for an activity at the high school the next say. I have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before but it was 1880s farmhouse and it seemed better than any of the local hotels and it was. I had a beautiful room. The owners knew that I had never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast before. They explained everything. At their farmhouse, they offer breakfast at their other B & B which is a Pink Queen Anne east of downtown Napanee. I did not add Breakfast because I had an early meeting at the high school. I had a nice room with a bathroom. They have a Keurig coffeemaker and water in the fridge if you like. They had just gotten back from Florida so the Christmas decoration were still up. It was such a great.visit.
Room was ok. The owner Emily was cold. We didn't feel very welcomed from the start. It felt as if she was in a hurry to do something else. We actually chose to go elsewhere. I didn't expect Emily to refund us. We did however pay separately for a breakfast at their other b&b on market street. She told me she wouldn't serve us or refund us. She also told me IN THE NAME OF JESUS that I couldn't hurt her reviews. I never asked for a refund. I never said I'd give her a bad review. I only asked for a refund of my breakfast that I paid extra for n she now wouldn't serve me. I'm actually shocked she brought Jesus into it. I did mention a fraudulent charge for the breakfast. That's when she said she'd refund it. I suppose we'll see I still would've had breakfast there. Btw this farmhouse is surroun
We came to town for the Indiana National Cornhusking Contest and chose to stay at the sweetest, most adorable Farmhouse Inn. We were greeted by the owners who were delightful and willing to sharing the history of their charming Amish Inn. I highly recommend such a beautiful relaxing Inn nestled in a beautiful area of town. We would absolutely stay again!
I normally don't like staying in b&b's. My wife enjoys them and so far my experiences have been great. This was not a good experience though. Felt out of place and expressed this. Religion was then brought into it naturally making it feel even more uncomfortable. This is all I can say. Rather stay in my vehicle than have stayed here. I do not give reviews. I felt the need to here.
Supposed to be a nice bed and breakfast THERE is NO breakfast Place is dated, has cats and I was scolded for using wrong entrance. Militant about check in/check out, which makes one feel unwelcome. -Laurie
