The Eagles Nest on Lay Lake

The ultimate best family getaway!!! It’s our second year going to Eagle’s Nest at Lay Lake and this year was better than last. What makes it so wonderful? It’s a true retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of life. So peaceful and quiet. The home itself is top notch and has everything for making a true “home away from home.” Clean! Clean! Clean! We’ve been to many vacation rentals and Eagles Nest is BY FAR the cleanest we’ve stayed at. Our four boys love kayaking, fishing off the dock, and competing to see who can make the best cannon ball! We are already looking at available dates for our next trip! Scott and Shanelle were very prompt in communicating with us and notified us of an Internet issue before we even realized there was one☺️. Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house. It was clean, well-equipped, and spacious enough for our family of five plus two guests. Communication with the host was excellent, and we really enjoyed the peaceful setting right on the lake. Check in/Check out was very easy and the expectations for checking out wasn't extreme. The only minor downsides were the echo in the main area, and some noise from upstairs in the downstairs bedroom. Adding curtains to the bedrooms would be helpful since it stays fairly bright inside, especially with nearby construction coming soon. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and we’d happily return!

Wife and I stayed here 4 nights late August 25. Very impressive. House has a great view of water and porch well situated for relaxing. Outdoor kitchen with deluxe gas grill. Most impressive was the attention to detail that owners have gone to. They’ve literally thought of everything. The inside of the house is spectacular. Well decorated with every amenity you could ask for. Typically when we go on these adventures you are constantly thinking of things that you’ll remember to bring next time. Here Im constantly finding things that I’m wanting to get for our house. Definitely a five star experience. A very memorable stay.

We had a wonderful family experience at the Eagle's Nest! The kids definitely enjoyed it the most! If you want to have a moment of peace and harmony with nature, don't hesitate to stay here!

This place is truly spectacular. I only wish we had more time here. We will definitely come back in the summer and take advantage of all the amenities this place has to offer. Kayaks, a dock for your boat, a beautiful fire pit right on the water. Everything was perfect and comfortable!! I highly recommend.
