The Dickey House Airbnb & Event Venue

My husband and I stayed here while attending a conference. The room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely, and the price was very reasonable. We would recommend The Dickey House for anyone staying in the area.

My husband and I had an enjoyable stay at Dickey House. The property itself is well worthy of a five star rating, though I did feel it was a little overpriced especially considering it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It is far enough from Springfield that it would not be convenient to use it as a base for a Springfield trip, in my opinion. Seeing the town square and the model of the Hubble telescope will take all of five minutes. The downtown area is nearly nonexistent aside from a couple of small antique stores. However, if you have a need to stay in the area, or if your travel plans are such that a stopover here is on the way, it is a pleasant overnight stop. The property itself is lovely. There is a city park within a short drive that provided a nice evening stroll.||||S

Very convenient. Room could use better lighting overall but that is the only negative comment. Comfortable and quiet staying here.

We stayed in the Queen Anne suite and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Comfy bed, amazing jetted tub, beautiful place. I will have to try to book for next year as well!

Sarah greeted us upon arrival was super friendly and extremely helpful with any needs we had. My husband and I were visiting from Akron, Ohio and she stayed in contact with us by text message. All of our check-in info was supplied prior to our arrival. The garden suite, was spacious, clean, well stocked with towels, soap and shampoo/conditioner. The room was nice and cool as it was extremely warm outside. Very quiet and peaceful stay! I would highly recommend this Airbnb! We look forward to seeing Sarah again soon😃
