The Davenport Inn

I have stayed here a few times and wouldn't go anywhere else. The rooms are warmed before you come in, the beds are very comfortable with soft bedding, and you have the use of the kitchen, which is beautiful. They keep it spotlessly clean. Bill and Debbie are personable and accommodating. I love staying there.

The best part about the Davenport inn is the owner. Bill is completely accommodating, intelligent and sharp as a tack. The inn is very quiet.... It is a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are clean and freshly painted. I have stayed here several times.... Both by myself and with a guest..... And I will always return to stay at the Davenport inn when I am in this area.

I have lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at the Davenport Inn these last few years but it never gets old. There is something about staying in a roadside inn that opened while George Washington was still alive that I find very special and timeless. The Inn is located just west of the Catskills in beautiful rolling farmland, much of which does not seem changed since Washington’s time. I love driving and walking around this area, seeing the small farms with their hilly fields and getting a glimpse of low wooded mountains. When I get hungry, I drive for 10 minutes into Oneonta, a friendly college town with great little restaurants tucked away here and there. Bill and Deborah are the friendliest hosts who are always helpful and have a knack for giving you all the space you need. A specia

Needed a place to stay on such short notice. Traveled on hall of fame weekend by accident he had a room and was so accommodating! Super clean and very friendly I would stay here again! Thank you so much for letting us stay when everything else was packed/crazy expensive!

Very nice inexpensive place to stay. Especially if you are visiting New York Safety track! Bill and Deb are great hosts! An interesting old hotel with unique artwork all around. Easy booking through Airbnb.
