The Cottages on Petite Lake

We stayed in one of the homes and it was not a great experience. David was quick to respond when we booked the place. Yet after we arrived we discovered the in home tubs side panel was held together by DUCK TAPE! The tub was emitting particles into the water. Then we tired to use the hot tub outside and the hot tub wouldn’t warm up. We left it overnight and when we went to check back on it, it dropped temperature didn’t even warm up. We were not able to enjoy the two main things we booked the house for. This house was also falling apart. For $300 we will never be coming back. Save yourself the money and get a hotel room we contemplated leaving and getting a hotel room because it is that bad. Also David didn’t respond to our video showing him the conditions of the tub. 0/10 😂

Loved this place! This was my husband and my first time visiting The Cottages on Petite Lake and it was exactly what we were looking for, some relaxation by the lake. We stayed in the Tiny House and it was perfect for the two of us. They have a patio overlooking the lake where we watched the sun and the moon rise. Or we just sat and enjoyed the view. We just sat and watched the boats go by, while taking in the sun and view. They have boat rentals and my husband had never driven a boat before in his life (he's 65 year old) and our host David graciously took us out on the boat to let my husband have his first experience at the wheel. We rented all the cottages and rooftop for our wedding weekend and rehearsal dinner! Jess, David, and all the staff at the cottages were helpful from the start! They went over and beyond to make sure we had the best time. They set up our rehearsal dinner and it was beautiful and flawless, even with the unexpected thunderstorm that struck mid rehearsal dinner. Their staff made quick moves to make sure we were all comfortable! They had everything we could need like ice, fire wood, and even smores kits to purchase for a great price. The entire weekend was amazing and we loved being lake front and enjoying all the water toys they offer. We already booked our anniversary weekend there next summer because we loved it SO much. And big plus that they are animal friendly. Thanks for everything!!

Great place in a beautiful setting . Had a great weekend here . Will definitely be back . Really nice cottages for a really reasonable price .

I would want to leave this place 5 stars, it's a cabin on the lake so as far as that goes it is fine, exactly what you would expect. The owner/worker is communicative and polite, so no complaints there either. We had booked a night here just to use the hot tub and unfortunately for us it was either too chemically or something and we were not able to use it. Tingling and slight burning sensation our skin as we tried to stay in. Truly disappointing because we drove here just for one night of some much needed relaxing, a very expensive overnight stay for no reason :( We have some red irritated skin patches now in the spots that felt the most "tingling" when we tried to be in the tub. I was excited to have found a cool spot about an hour away from us that we could getaway to once in a while,
