The Collier Hotel

Well the reviews are all so old... we stayed one night on 05.23.2025 The hotel is old and historic. Thus you are going to have some un-even doors, a sticky window, some rust spots on the old sink fixtures. However... This place is a gem. It's great location, one block out of downtown Etna, makes it easy to walk home from Denny Bar or Etna Brewing. The manager, Derek, is a great guy to talk to, was helpful, punctual and caring. This place is dog friendly (for $20 extra) and **bonus** there is a great outdoor grassy area fenced in perfect for playing fetch or just rolling in the grass while the owners sip wine on the porch. We were there visiting our daughter and a few of her trail friends, all of whom are hiking the PCT. We ended up staying for three nights. The location is great, walking distance to the market, post office, and town. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the use of a kitchen, dining room and living room were wonderful amenities. We also enjoyed the porches and yard. The owner and manager are both friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend and would also stay there again if we are in the area. I would just note, that three of the bedrooms upstairs do share one bathroom so something to consider when booking your room.

Perfect spot in the middle of town. We stayed here for one night on our weekend getaway to check out Etna. Very quaint and clean! Bed was comfortable and there’s a nice shared kitchen/living room. We got a suite so we had our own private bathroom.

The Collier perfect for our three families, 13 people. We have taken it over now for three straight years for 4 nights each. The hostess, Cassie, is awesome. The place is an old mansion-like place with a ton of character, but very comfortable. We absolutely love it! May get snow in the winter, but the drive up the hill to the South-West is fun and definitely gets to the snow in the winter.

What a unique place to stay in the historic town of Etna! Large rooms with high ceilings and comfortable furniture. I feel like I’ve stepped back in history yet have the expected amenities of today. The townspeople are friendly and the food delicious. Make the Collier Hotel your home base when exploring Siskiyou County.
