Just got home from a 4-night stay at the Carnegie Hotel. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Every staff member that I encountered was helpful and friendly. The location can't be beat. Breakfast worked for me with its pastries and yogurt. I loved the automatic beverage machine. The hot chocolate was a treat on a cold day or night. It was such a positive experience, that I've already booked my next stay. Definitely keep the Carnegie Hotel in mind as you're looking for a great midtown location.
If I could give this 10 stars. Perfect. Location, price, hotel size, staff, bed, cleanliness, food, noise. Ive been to nyc 3 times and stayed in Chelsea. First time staying in the more "touristy" part of town. But it was a quick thanksgiving trip(we were not there to see the parade but it's totally by the route) and so it made sense for our friends to stay close to the list of nyc things they wanted to do as first timers. Spotless, FREE breakfast and free wine and cheese hour. Free fancy hot beverage machine and snacks 24/7. Everything we asked the staff was a yes. You're basically an extremely safe 10 miute walk to all the sites most first time visitors want to see. $15 cab to met if weather is bad. We loved loved loved it.
Excellent value for money for its location in NYC. Small building wedged between a few others however the room was outstanding. Comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast and wine and cheese hour included in the rate which was also nice. Breakfast selection is limited (considering the size of the property) but otherwise very good. 10/10 would recommend this place.
My mother visited me in the city and stayed here. Perfect location with the subway and a lot of great restaurants nearby, plus Central Park two blocks away. The staff was always so friendly and the room was quiet, updated, and comfortable.
Positive: The staff was friendly and it came with great accomodations. I loved everything about the room, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was nice and updated. My boyfriend said that the Carnegie hotel is our official go to hotel. Negative: Only downside was the room was a small besides that
