The Captain Stannard

Very nice boutique hotel. Our room was great. Roomy with lots of light. Quiet neighborhood. Accessibility is a little challenging for most of the rooms, but should not be an issue for most. Breakfast was sort of an upscale continental breakfast with lots of of cold options. The fresh fruit yogurt parfait was excellent.

This property is glorious! We stayed in the Captains Quarters and loved it. The bed is very comfortable, room and en-suite are very spacious, and everything is really beautiful. The shower is amazing! You can’t beat the location, it’s walkable to the beach and several restaurants. The back porch is something to experience, a really relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. The new owners of this property have done a fantastic job, and their hospitality makes you feel like family. This is a local gem for sure.

The Stannard was a relaxing place to stay. The accommodations were great and the location perfect to access anything we planned for. The hosts are thoughtful and anticipate guests needs well. There was so much to enjoy, we wished we had a week to just relax and enjoy the place. Breakfast foods were set out attractively and we had a variety of things to pick from including fresh fruit salads and even non-dairy yogurt! The BnB was secure and easy to access for guests. It was the perfect location for an event at The Kate and even offered a package discount for guests going to The Kate on their stay. There were plenty of restaurants nearby to pick from. The hosts provided bikes to use and a lot of yard and table games. There is a lovely large yard and veranda to relax in and plenty of rockers

I’m so glad I was able to experience this amazing B&B with such a great family who you can tell it’s more than just a business to them. I really wished we could’ve stayed another night. My wife and I love going to different places and never repeat a stay BUT this might be the first one we would have to return to because we loved it so much. Meri greeted us once we entered through the red door on our way to our room, we stayed in the Captains Quarters. The entire place was fabulous with the nautical warm theme feeling throughout the lounge areas to even the bedroom. I won’t give too much away because you really have to experience this getaway for yourself. Again Meri was fantastic!!! She was ready to help you with anything you needed from where to eat, sightsee and even how to take a wonder

We had our wedding at The Captain Stannard and it was so beautiful and special! The nautical decor was stunning, the food was delicious, and Meri and her team worked graciously and cooperatively with all the vendors to ensure our day went smoothly. Our guests had a wonderful time and enjoyed the grounds. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and couldn’t have been more relaxed and comfortable. We loved being able to unplug and spend quality time together before and after our big day. Overall, we highly recommend The Captain Stannard and can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!
