The Camp at East Lake

The campground in the summertime is very nice in my opinion The lake is beautiful. I love swimming here and sitting on the dock just enjoying the scenery & the nature 10 out of 10 for sure. They also have Floaties / lifejackets and boats that you could take out on the lake and use. Every so often they have a big bonfire It’s nice to sit around and enjoy a drink. Overall, it’s a very peaceful place very quiet as there’s not many people who live there. The caretaker I believe her name was Liz. She was very sweet very helpful. Sometimes she opens up the office and she has Arizona’s in their books all types of things you can purchase She doesn’t open all the time Which I feel like she definitely should have it open more On the weekdays in the summer as it-closes for winter. First off I want to say the woman who is manager is very kind and sweet. Her friend who was helping her was also very kind. At first glance I thought this was going to be a nice place to stay. I had reserved a rustic cabin for the night and arrived around 430 to check in. Had to wait around 15 for some repairs thatvwere taking place. Once I got the keys we went to cabin and once I opened the door was hit with smell of ash and cigarettes. There was a small wood stove that has not been cleaned out in ages. Was filled eith trash and ash. There was a queen bed and a nasty old cot for sleeping. Bed had mouse droppings in it and the cot mattress had mouse nest in it. Needles to say we left and asked for our money back or a new cabin They offered a cottage This was much better but needs seriou
