The Boulders

This golf and spa resort is really amazing. Not only for the location and beautiful views, but also for the fast service. Very consistent and outstanding. Super helpful and friendly staff. From the front desk, to the Casitas, everything is well coordinated. The transportation here is either by foot, shuttle or golf carts. Just ask for them and they are in a couple minutes to your service. The accommodations are very comfortable. The restaurants around have good quality food and service. If you want to have a romantic time, or play golf or tennis, or just relax, this a place to be.

I wanted so bad to love this resort. The views just can’t be beat. The sunrise and sunsets are stunning and with just a little bit of work you could really feel like you were in a land far, far away. Not Arizona. We were here to celebrate a birthday and just for a couple nights. The first night the main hot tub was 85 degrees, so not off to a great start. The second day, we had intended to spend some time at the spa but the service was just so lacking - we didn’t know where anything was. Basically walked in, they checked us in and it seemed like said “good luck”. The outdoor hot tub was broken, and the steam room in the women’s locker room was closed indefinitely so the only thing my husband and I could actually do to hang out together was sit in the tea room and wait for our massages. Beautiful resort! We came here to relax and enjoy Arizona's beauty for our wedding anniversary (31 years) and this place delivered. It's a gated resort so that made us feel safer. The landscape, the scenery, the sunset, it feels timeless. Susan from Boulders Resort even made a great recommendation and reservation for our anniversary dinner (Mastro's). We had a great time! Wow. Complete shock with the service or lack of. We drove 20 min to come eat here and planned to charge our car while having dinner. The Tesla app shows 2 charging stations here so was even happier to learn we could charge while we have dinner. The resort is large and confusing to find. We were already low on battery arriving so we would have to use the Tesla charger. The bellman was rude and told us we couldn’t not charge if not staying. Understandable, but we asked since we didn’t know that if we could possibly charge since we would be eating on property. He told us to ask the restaurant. After driving in circles we went back and he was not helpful again. Went in and talked to the front desk and concierge. They were both very helpful and told us where to go to charge given the circumstan

Usually I'm not a frequent reviewer....good or bad. But, this is one that needs to be shared. We stayed for 6 nights at The Boulders. There are so many things about this resort that are truly remarkable - obviously the majestic views of the grounds. The actual "boulders" sprawled amongst the views in the desert with the cacti, the lush golf course and all the wildlife make this truly an experience. (We even hired a professional photographer for family photos to capture this experience.) We enjoyed the golf carts that would escort you around property, such a nice touch. We noticed a few things within both the property and our room, but initially would have overlooked them because we felt they were minor since the property majesty made up for so much.
