The Block Hotel

This is a very cool historic place to stay when visiting the town of Bisbee. The room was very nice, especially the bathroom, and was very remodeled. Plenty of space for four people and it’s very cool that it used to be an old sheriff‘s office. Keep in mind this is more like a vacation rental where you will have to do a self check-in process beforehand. But as long as you are prepared, you should not have any problems.

We stayed in the large room on the ground floor. Room 6 I believe it was. The mattresses were super comfortable and we appreciated the extra blankets included at the foot of the bed for when you didn't want to use the full comforter. The pillows and sheets felt brand new and were very comfortable as well. The bathroom was upgraded from the warmed toilet seat for chilly mornings to the huge shower. We also really enjoyed the patio with the holding cell. It was a nice place to hang out and a great picture op! Huge plus was the short walk to several restaurants and shops. Make sure you have your key code prior to arriving as you will need that to get in and there usually is not someone there to assist. We stayed in the “ Deluxe Suite, Multiple Beds, Patio, Ground Floor” room. The room and bathroom were immaculate! The mattresses seemed new and were very comfortable. There were four clean, high quality pillows on each bed and the sheets were good quality as well. It was clear the owner took pride in the comforts of the guests. The only detraction was that we couldn’t really enjoy the patio because of a strong mildew smell coming from a holding cell at the end of the patio and from some of the block on the patio walls. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Easy 2-5 minute walk to several restaurants and most attractions. While quaintly decorated, we found the room uncomfortable. The beds were extremely firm (hard); the two chairs and table offered little; the tv lacked offerings; and the room had a chill that would not leave our bones. While a lovely location, it was overpriced.

Really enjoyed our stay and location was perfect. Stayed in room 6 which faces the road. Little fridge included which we put to use. Coffee available. Walk pretty much anywhere. Thanks!
