I checked in for the very first time on the 28th and left March 1st. I met three very nice people. Shima, DJ and Antonio who was one of the servers at The Mercat. She and DJ were so friendly and helpful, she and DJ loved my conversation. John, who is one of the restaurant managers said he’ll take good care of me as well as Antonio. I love the food, the breakfast potatoes that were huge hunks, the sausage and a spot of coffee. The room was very comfortable and I got a great night sleep. The design of the interior is awesome. It’s a place where I would truly come again and was truly satisfied with my stay.
Stayed in this historic hotel for 7 nights over Christmas and all in all had a very comfortable stay. This is a 115 years old beautiful grand classic hotel with a rich history, located just across the street from Grant Park. Renovated and fresh and comfortable room in decent size (room 2015). Excellent bed quality. Friendly and professional staff at the front desk. Friendly staff and good coffee in the hotel coffee shop. The only negative was that housekeeping could have been much better. Our room was not vakuum cleaned for the first 6 days, it was first done on day 6 after mention it to the front desk. Also, the maid left cleaning items in the room almost every day. Also there was a smaller water leakage from the roof in our bathroom (reported to front desk upon checking out). Still a goo

My stay at the Blackstone was great. These "autograph" properties are not for everyone as they are mostly older historic properties, many of which like the Blackstone dont hide thier age. While I was worried a bit when I entered the lobby due to some very oldish looking furniture and slightly tattered carpets, my room was lovely with lots of space and roomy bathroom. The shower had some calcium stains that could easily be removed but they did not impact my use in any way. The workout room was good but some of the machines needed maintenance. Lastly, thier 1600 Club, which is assume is akin to normal Marriott MClubs, was well staffed and had a lovely and yummy spread. Amazing rooms, amazing workers, everything was outstanding. The real reason we had such an amazing trip, was all thanks to Lucy. I can’t write enough about her, from the lovely upgrade (thank you!!!) to the recommendations on what to see and where to go, we had the prefect weekend. Lucy deserves all of the props, she has made 2 Newley engaged lifelong customers. Even if I am not in Chicago, my first search for a hotel will be with the Marriott Bonvoy. I truly hope a manager or something sees this so that she can be given a proper shout out, a raise, a promotion, everything. She deserves it. Again thank you so much Lucy, we only hope the other Marriott hotels will live up to the amazing standard set by her.
