The Benchmark Inn

Best experience ever, definitely accommodated for my birthday. Best night sleep had in a long time, the room was clean and close to shops and dining. Couldn't have asked for better host. They do have coffee and light snack for in the morning also.

We loved our stay! The whole place is so nice, beautifully decorated, and very cozy. We stayed in the honeybee room, the bed was so comfortable and room was spacious. They thought of every detail. The coffee bar and fresh muffins were such a nice treat. The location is perfect, within walking distance to everything. We will be back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My family and visited this place as a stop on our way home from an 11-day road trip. We wanted our last night away from home to be a little more special and this place was everything we thought it would be! It was very quaint, classy Victorian decor, and very clean. We loved all the little "extras" the place had to offer. Perfect fast and easy breakfast in the morning too. There were muffins, coffee cake, granola bars, oatmeal, fruit cup, coffee, etc. The town is so small but full of life! Less than a 5-minute walk away is the Ferry. We all had fun taking the ferry across the river and back and then after that we walked a whole minute and came upon the 'Beehive Augusta Tavern.' They had AMAZING food with a nice atmosphere. The food is not typical "tavern" food. I had some amazing scallops

Our stay at Augusta’s Benchmark Inn was so pleasant! The Inn is well kept and tastefully decorated. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable. We also all enjoyed the kitchen area for a game of cards. The Inn is conveniently located just steps away from the shops and restaurants in town. Last but certainly not least, the Inn manager was incredibly friendly and very helpful! Would highly recommend this Inn!

Very cute place. Very friendly service. The Bourbon Room has a very large king bed which was very comfortable! Love all the different themed rooms! Only a short walk to the river and shops. Would definitely stay here again!
