This building is beautiful!!! I attended a basket making class that was held here. Loved the class.
We have been bringing students here for 20+ years. The cabins are immaculately clean, comfortable, and sleep MANY. The main cabin allows for cooking, games, collaborative time, and anything you could want. The nearby wetlands are great for a morning or evening walk. The fire pit is perfect for s'mores, stories, or stars. I have been traveling with students for 20 years. There is NOTHING like this within a 3 hour drive if StL.
Wonderful beautiful house at Shaw Nature Reserve. The Native Plant School class was awesome today! Great homemade harvested food!!
Interesting collection of restored buildings, some pioneer style cabins, on the property of Shaw Nature Reserve. These are not lodges, a hotel or place you can stay, but are reservable for education, events, etc.
This place is absolutely beautiful! I went because I took one of the foraging classes they offer and I learned so much. The grounds are full of native plants and wildlife. Can't wait to go back with the family!
