Thayers Inn Hotel

Positive: The location was very convenient to the shopping center. Negative: Although the hotel was clean, it is old and could use some refurbishing. The carpet in our room was stained and the wallpaper was peeling.

Not enough parking for guests. Be prepared to lug your suitcases up curved, old staircases (3 floors for us). Spooky, outdated room. Gross carpet. Mold in bathroom. Slanted floors with a big gap under the door. One of the rooms of our 2 room suite was unusable. The bed was completely worn out and sagged in the middle. Not to mention the room next door bathroom was adjacent. One could literally hear someone doing their business. Needs a total refresh! Not like the pictures at all.

This was a very charming place that I want to give more stars. The location is terrific & the staff is super friendly. But unfortunately the rooms are on the smaller side, can be slightly cold, lack storage space, and have very thin walls. Granted all of these complaints can be excused because it is a historic site. So just be prepared for this if you want modern amenities that you would get at your standard Hilton. I would definitely stay here again purely for the location and convince to walk around the downtown.

You like quirky? You like rooms that tilt a little bit? You like that you have to close the bathroom door when you shower so as not to set off the sprinklers? This is the place. This is my 11th year and it never disappoints. Historical building, always clean, good continental breakfast and super friendly staff. I love it here. And though the not affiliated restaurant in the basement seems to change every other year, it's always good. Right downtown, near Chutters, Schilling, and great shops, you can't go wrong with Thayers Inn.

It was a pleasure staying in this piece of American history. In fact, all of Littletons Main Street is a time capsule to a different era. The hotel is a thoughtfully maintained homage to the past once visited by many famous people. Rooms are simple, clean, comfortable and quaint. Cleaning staff went above and beyond (noticed that I threw away my toothbrush after the first night and left a new one the next day without me asking!). Would love to visit again!
