Teton Teepee Lodge

Have stayed here a few times when we ski at nearby Targhee ski hill and every time has been wonderful. The common room with it’s soaring ceiling and beautiful central fireplace, plenty of comfy couches and chairs for a read and tables set for sharing a fun game of cards and laughter. The rooms are great with sound proof doors so they are quiet, comfy mattresses and bedding, heated floors in the bathrooms, all the creature comforts.

We stayed at Teton Tepee Lodge during the final leg of our Yellowstone–Grand Teton journey (Aug 24–25, 2025), and it was an unforgettable experience. The hospitality from Dan & Alma was outstanding — they truly made us feel at home. The lodge itself is beautifully designed, with cozy rooms, unique architecture, and breathtaking views of both sunrise and sunset over the Tetons. The location is peaceful, with a lovely creek right beside the property, and very convenient to Driggs and the charming town of Alta. The highlight of our stay was the homemade baked food — easily among the best we’ve ever had. It added such a personal and heartwarming touch to the experience. I wish we stayed here our whole trip. We were hopping hotels and thankfully chose Teepee lodge for our longest stay (3 nights at the start of October). The rooms were comfortable and spacious and SO sound proof with an extra door to close off to the common area. The breakfast was lovely with homemade baked goods, fruit salad, and all of the continental classics. The owners are around making sure you are comfortable and their sweet dog also hangs out. We thought that the hour drive from the Tetons was so worth it to stay where we were cozy, comfortable, and got to enjoy our evenings compared to a hectic and overpriced town closer to the park. Stayed at the Teton Teepee Lodge for one night on our 10 day vacation to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Absolutely LOVED this place! Alma the owner was so welcoming and the layout was SO cool! Was our favorite place we stayed on our vacation. The breakfast spread was AWESOME! Homemade items and so many options. Great value for the money.

This is a unique and impressive structure, unlike anything you are likely to find elsewhere... a central circular common area with a soaring beam ceiling and a massive fireplace and chimney in the center. Very cool. The rooms are arrayed around the center space and are on the small side but big enough and comfortable. The point is to sit out in the main space, where there is plenty of seating and tables for whatever. The owners are great hosts and happy to provide whatever you may need. It all makes for a unique structure and a unique experience.
