Teton Pass Ski Resort

Visited here for the first time yesterday, this is a hidden gem of ski area! Beautiful region, cozy, rustic lodge with great food, staff is super friendly, and I had the chance to meet and talk to the owner, what a great guy! There’s terrain for everyone, the snow is great, the fall line terrain is super fast and great for cruising, the two natural halfpipes that we found were amazingly good, and the Cherokee & Firewater semi-gladed runs had me wanting more. The one lift moves at a very good pace and despite being 52 years old, it’s been very well maintained, and as a lift mechanic myself, I look at lifts very closely! This is truly a great place and a great local operation, the owner and his crew truly care about the place & love what they do, it really shows! I look forward to returning

We drove for more than 3 hours one way and brought some friends with us. We all had a blast! It was quite the snow day which was good practice for me, the staff was very friendly, the lodge had a very welcoming and cozy vibe yet easily held everyone that was there for a busy, full day. There was a good variety in runs. Also the food was good! We are definitely planning on coming back, it is in quite a beautiful area as well. There is something to be said about a smaller operation run efficiently and with obvious care and love by all the staff! Attached is a picture from the road heading up to the ski resort.

This was ski area #18 for me, and I came in with really high hopes. I absolutely love small town, one-chairlift kind of mountains. They’re usually my favorite places to ski. The kind of spots with heart, character, and good vibes. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark in the biggest ways. From the start, the energy was off. The lift operators and ski patrol all seemed genuinely unhappy to be there, almost annoyed by guests. Not once did we see a smile from a single one of them. Our second day ended with a patroller being frankly rude to us, which really sealed the experience. At one point, the man we believe was the owner was bumping chairs, and even he looked irritated and angry. The overall feeling was that we were an inconvenience just for showing up. Lived in Montana my whole life, and this was my first experience up at Teton Pass. I’ve been missing out all these years! The drive up is incredibly beautiful, the lodge is cozy with delicious food, and the staff is super friendly! No lines, and we skied some powdery terrain! Will be making this an annual trip from now on.

Really missing the mark on overall atmosphere for a ski area in the middle of nowhere. Was expecting a similar crowd to places like Turner and Anthony Lakes but instead encountered grumpy lift ops, an annoyed ski area owner and a ski patroller who I'm just assuming wanted to be the sheriff in Choteau.
