Terrace Pines Camping Area (A Modern America Campground)

Our party of nineteen has reserved cabins K1, K2, C3, and K3, along with tent sites 1 and 2. Cabins K1 through K3 are well-maintained and feature full bathrooms, accommodating up to six guests each. Cabin C3 offers a half bath and can sleep four. All cabins and tents are conveniently located near communal bathrooms. Additionally, all cabins provide easy access to the beach and the lake, with cabin K2 offering a lovely lake view. The beach is equipped with paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes for our enjoyment. While there is no cell phone service, we will have complimentary access to Wi-Fi. We are eagerly anticipating our return next year.

We have been booking the same week for many years, but after our last visit we won't be coming back. The bathrooms were clogged and feces on the toilet seats all week, also no toilet paper at times. There are people fighting and screaming all night at some seasonals and nothing is done about it, there is no staff. Random drunk people walking up to our site also, with no one to call or no staff. At the prices they charge you'd think they could get a decent wireless router also. You have to stand within 5 feet of it if you need to make a phone call. Also the camp store has very short hours, the propane fill is out of service, and the pickle ball racquets are mostlsy broke. Dumpsters overflowing. I could go on and on. We’ve camped here since 2001. It’s a gorgeous quiet area and we’ve loved it. Unfortunately it is no longer family owned and it shows in the lack of attention to the facilities. The shower house/restrooms were always cleaned multiple times a day and well stocked. We never took that for granted and appreciated it. This year we had been there four days with no one in sight to tend to the facilities. Clogged toilets, nasty showers and an absence of paper towels in more than half of the bathrooms. We were able to get a message to the management and they were surprised that they weren’t cleaned and promised someone would clean. It seems that someone’s idea of cleaning was to throw some bleach in there so it smells clean. (A more generous take would be there was a lack of training.) Showers stil

I spent every summer at Terrace Pines… Owned and run by a wonderful family; it’s been in the family for generations. It’s a great place to spend your summers at every age!

When we left after a week in Sept 2023 we booked 2 full weeks one in July and one in August. Paid in full as per policy. We had been going to terrace pines for 6 years and we're happy.||Fast forward to March. Work schedule changed and we needed to cancel our June stay. Tried to use the website to cancel but it would not go thru. Tried to call several times a week no answer. Not able to leave a vm due to it being full. Sent several emails explaining the situation and mentioned we had realized the cc we used was no longer available and wanted to make sure we got our money back and they were able to get the site rented.
