Temple Mountain Campground East

Good spot for an overnight. Interesting sites nearby for exploring via hiking, biking or walking. Decent toilet facilities no showers.

I camped here because the campgrounds within Goblin valley state park were full. The only pros are the proximity to the park and the pit toilets were adequately clean. Otherwise this campsite is basically just a large sandy parking lot sectioned off into camping spots. No privacy from other campers. No water or trash. Most of all, the sand lot became an issue when the wind picked up because there are no wind breaks/ shelter so the whole area became a little dust storm without escape. It gets it your tent and everywhere else. If you can manage, camping within the park would be far superior, otherwise I would recommend going somewhere more sheltered from the wind.

Great first come campground. Got a spot immediately. Spots can hold up to 3 vehicles. Quiet at night, but lots of side by sides going down the road during the day. Clean pit toilets. Beautiful views!

Camping area has been upgraded when compared to images on google street view. It now has designated camping spots (10) and two groups sites. There is now a $15 fee per night, [aid by honor box. There is still lots of area for staging or camping in the event the designated spots are full (most likely on weekends). The group site at upper Temple mountain campground (1 mile up the road) is much nicer with a great gazebo and huge firepit for large groups. We spend a week in the lower campground and did a lot of riding the area on our atvs. Great location. Will accommodate any size rig or combination

CG close to goblin valley SP. This BLM CG is FCFS, $15/$7.50 plus two group areas ($50 nite no reservations) one at each end. 12 sites total, two vault toilets. No water, no dumpsters however each site has a table and fire ring...the group sites have a shade awning also. Paved road all the way in CG is gravel, no shade whatsoever! Cell signal is 1-2 bars on my TMobile phone but my Starlink rocks the interwebs here! Lack of dumpsters is reason for 4 stars
