Te Au Moana

Don’t think, just book! We just had a fantastic evening at the Te Au Moana Luau - it was honestly a 20/10 experience. I would give it 10 stars if I could! I agonized over which luau to pick and ultimately landed on this one. We chose premium seating which I would do again, we were seated very close to the stage. The food was served family style and was excellent. (My one request for them is that they add keiki options for the kids). They even accommodated my dairy allergy. An open bar with jolly bartenders was wonderful. The beautiful fresh lei upon arrival was a nice surprise. The activities for all before the show were fun - traditional tattoos (temporary, of course), stamps, and flowers pinned into our hair. Fantastic luau! The performers are amazing. Coming from a theater world I noticed the quick costumes changes (hair and makeup included!)... Amazing performance! Love the stories, the woman who was introducing the dances and the story behind it, and also her voice!. The food was ok, options for every taste, but nothing out of the extraordinary. Service was magnificent! I started to feel dizzy (thank you open bar!) and they took care of me until I felt better, even checking on me every now and then. Fantastic setting, great ambiance, and amazing show. Totally worthy!

🙋🏾‍♀️🌺We attended this luau years ago. Everything about it was extravagant. The food to the entertainment was fire 🔥. My mother and I really enjoyed ourselves. We had preferred seating reservations. So, we were smack right at the front row tables. For a change, it was nice to see other attendees who looked like us on this trip to Hawaii. We were actually at the same preferred table. The traditional Hawaiian style feast was immaculate. The food was savory and super delicious. Many of the traditional Hawaiian dishes served were new to me and my first experience. We got some nice photos with some of the little handsome native Hawaiian men. We watched the pig roasting ceremony and luau song and dance performances. We chose this Luau bc we were under the impression the food was delicious and authentic. I think we realized walking in it would be far from authentic. It’s definitely a resort type Luau. For the price we expected a better experience, better food, but we were truly disappointed. If you want authentic with legit good food, look for a Luau hosted by locals. I’m not sure about Maui bc we ended up at this one but in Oahu, Mauka Warriors was the best! atmosphere is nice, but way too expensive for what you get in return.

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible time and we were entertained the whole time! We were greeted with leis and Kukui nut necklaces and then walked to our table. There was an amazing (very strong) open bar that served legit mixed drinks. The food was family style and all you can eat so the staff was great at bringing more of whatever you liked. The show was funny and informational.
