Tappan Zee Hotel

ABSOLUTELY THE DIRTIEST & WORST HOTEL we have ever stayed in!!! I'd give it ZERO stars if I could. It was so bad that we actually considered driving 2.5 hrs. back home in the middle of the night to avoid having to deal with such an awful room and hotel overall. (But we had already paid for tickets to something the next day, so we reluctantly stayed overnight as planned.) For starters, the reception area, stairwell, hallways, and rooms reeked. And the night reception guy was incredibly rude. We checked in quickly in the afternoon and hurriedly left our luggage in the room without really examining it because we needed to head back out immediately to make it to dinner and the timed tours we had booked. My son found himself stranded in West Nyack yesterday, and needed a place to stay. The only hotel with a vacancy was the Tappan Zee and my son was within a 25 minute walk to the hotel. ||I called the hotel at 11:50 pm after seeing on-line that they had 3 rooms available, and that the desk was manned 24 hours a day. When I attempted to pay for his room ($130 plus taxes) I was told they didn't accept credit cards over the phone. I then asked if I could simply book the room on-line for him . . . The answer was a flat "No." He then suggested I try the other hotels in the area. I explained that they were all full, and I really needed to get my son off the street. He wouldn't budge. As a result, my son spent the night sleeping on a park bench! ||How can a hotel that ONLY accepts payment

Ok so the room looked nothing like the pictures... it was an interesting visit it was very outdated. Small shower... small sink... half of my outlets didn't work... ok really for the cost is not very bad because you kind of expect that... I spilt water my son grabbed a towel to clean it it was black after...

This is the worst place in west Nyack. The night clerk is very rude disrespectful and seems miserable. He acts off like a person on something strong. The heater does not work, the bed is very uncomfortable and sheets are not clean. Very dusty mildew on the ceiling, the hallway is disgustingly dirty. This place was called Nyack Motor lodge and it was the worst then and it is worse now. You don’t YOU DONT WANT TO STAY HERE AT ALL!!!!!!!!! Look up the other name too NYACK MOTOR LODGE you will see why. The owner changed the name but the place is worse ………You been warned DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT

This is far by the worse hotel ever!!! The towels were stained, bed sheets were dirty, walls were dusty as hell. The night time guy in charge was rude! Rooms and common areas reeked. There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this hotel. DO NOT STAY here unless you want to catch a disease from the soiled sheets and towels.
