Tamarac Bay Resort

My husband's family has been coming to this resort for over 30 years. They have experienced multiple owners. The most recent owner is by far the most disappointing. We were at the resort last week. The property next to the resort is the owners cabin. In previous years we have saw him come and go. He has never been friendly. This year there were 3 men staying at that cabin while we were there. They were riding their side by side fast between our cabins to get to the office building, driving boats at ducks, driving the boats close to shore, through weed lines and lighting off fireworks. After 10/10:30pm. And overall just not being "neighborly" especially knowing the fact that they are in the owners place I would expect them to be respectful of paying customers. Our family and friends have stayed at several resorts annually over the past 20 years, always searching for the perfect place to return to. This year, we stayed at Tamarac for the first time and believe we've found our ideal spot! The resort features friendly, easy-going staff, a smaller and safe environment, sturdy docks, a beautiful clear lake, and multiple cabin layouts. Additionally, the office is open 24 hours, allowing guests to sign out items on an honor system, which we love for its convenience and trust. We've already booked our stay for 2026!

My family has been vacationing here for 25 years. ||New owners took over a few years ago. Since then, the cabins have been upgraded, but the customer service is 0 to none. ||The owner has a lake cabin right next to the resort, but is rarely on-site. Random people stay at their cabin causing a ruckus the entire stay. ||They race around in a side by side and shoot off aerial fireworks from 10-midnight (which is illegal). When we asked them to stop, they asked us to leave. ||Keep in mind--there are children and dogs on the resort. ||No customer service acumen at all. ||||DON'T BELIEVE THE REVIEWS FROM 2017-2018. New owners now, many things have changed.

Amazing refurbished cabins! One of them is wheelchair accessible with ramps, 40” wide doors, and roll-in shower. The property is mostly level so easy to get around. If you bring a 8’ ramp you can make one of the docks accessible too. We spend a week here every year and they’ve invested a lot into recent renovations. 👍👍

This is our second year as guests of our daughter and her in laws. A great getaway for sure. We are seeing that the resort has done a lot of remodeling to perk up the place and it is getting better. We are staying in an older cabin that is majorly due for its update that will likely happen this year. That should be great! This takes me back to my camping days when I was a kid. A bit roughing it but with electricity, running water. It is the spending time with family in the outdoors that makes this a wonderful tume.
