Tall Chief Cove Recreation Area

My family and I have stayed at this campground twice and we will definitely be back. The prices are great, water and electric hookups (no sewer hookup, but they have a dumping area on site). Because there is no sewer hookup we used the on site showers and they are so clean I was shocked but downside is that it is so hot in the bathrooms that I could only tolerate a cold shower. (This was the case for the shower sites on the C area, I can't comment on the others. My kids enjoyed the playground as well. Overall a very nice, clean, quiet campground.

I definitely liked the sandy beach (much better than the muddy one at twin points) and there are lots of picnic tables under trees which is nice, but it's not as nice as the osage or skiatook recreational area, though it is much larger. We did see a bald eagle fly overhead (this was a quiet Sunday afternoon in December), which was cool. Good spot but I know it gets very crowded in summer (still nice).

The lake is beautiful as always, unfortunately it's not at full pool.

Top rated campground. Camp hosts are amazing. There are handicap sights. Nice bathrooms.

Great boat ramp beach picnic area. We really enjoy bringing our pontoon boat here. It’s kept clean most people follow the rules. Sometimes music can get a little loud.
