Tahoe House Hotel

We stayed for two nights. The owner, Paul is a gracious and interesting host. He has built an exceptional hotel with fascinating antiquities and beautiful decor. Our room was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Paul!

Didn't stay here but visited the bar and toured the historical hotel. Bartender was very informative on both the hotel and town history. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck over looking the main street and the quiet garden in the back. A must stop while in Virginia City.

Can't say enough nice things about my stay - the hosts are fantastic and the place is a delight. It is so lovingly restored but also has all the modern conveniences you'd want in a bed and breakfast. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are great at making introductions and connections for the sights around town. The rooms are quiet and have great amenities. Breakfast was lovely and the town is so quiet in the evenings and morning before the day tourists arrive. Bar is very nice as well and a great place to relax between sightseeing stops.

Paul the in keeper here runs the only place stay in Virginia! Excellent evening entertainment (come when Carson is singing… I guarantee you won’t regret it!), clean rooms still decorated in the Victorian splendor enjoyed by Mark Twain. Or arise early and take in the quiet sunrise from the balcony or lobby. Bring your partner and fall in love again in a place that time and troubles forgot. Anticipate a warm greeting and a welcome whiskey on arrival. Fair prices. Book early. Tahoe is the absolute gem of the Comstock.

This is now my favorite place to stay in Virginia City. The fully renovated old hotel is fantastic. It is filled with photos and antiques. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are small and comfortable.
