Ta-Tel Lodge

I read a review on TA from a person who had a bad experience at one hotel so went down the road to the Ta-Tel Lodge, which they gave a glowing review. Really?? Glowing! OMG- their previous experience must have been horrendous.||We stayed at the Ta-Tel Lodge on 2 very hot summer days. I was dismayed to find that there was no air conditioner. Only a ceiling fan. We were told to just open a window. When I did so, there was toilet paper stuck in the screen to block a hole. In addition the traffic noise was so loud throughout both our nights there that we got very little sleep. The traffic noise was so bad that keeping a window open was not an option. The second night was better because we bought ear plugs. While the room was generally clean, there was a spider in the shower & stains on the bed

Nice management. Not a hotel, but rather a boarding house. Great for the local workers. Tahoe needs more of this..

I stayed for several months and was very pleased with it. Owners are great, it's kept very clean, micro and nice-size fridge/freezer in the room, nice comfortable bed. Room decorated in rustic style. Several restaurants and grocery store nearby. Near the stat park and beach. I would definitely stay there again.

I try calling about a room but no answer. I try going there to the office but its always closed. I'm interested in a monthly rental. Hello???
