Customer Reviews
We stayed at Sycamore Lodge RV Resort using our RPI membership after our Thousand Trails campground closed due to a historic ice and snow storm in North Carolina. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating during an unexpected change in plans. The park is beautiful with tall pine trees and a peaceful lake that made for a lovely walk. The facilities are older but charming and functional. The bathrooms are dated, but clean and usable, and the laundry room was clean and fully operational. Starlink struggled a bit due to the tree cover (expected), but still worked, and AT&T cell service was strong. Overall, this was a comfortable, quiet stop with a friendly atmosphere, and we’d happily stay again.
We went it was actually closer to august 2022. I would give zero stars if i could. first of all they told us, it was a camping membership that it was not a timeshare, which was a lie. Second they told us that since it was a membership that if we didn’t want to keep it, we just simply didn’t have to pay anymore and we wouldn’t be able to use it anymore, second lie. so after all their lies and promises we did sign up and they told us that we could pick our contract up in the morning because it was late. overnight we changed our minds. Thenext morning it was time for checking out and nobody was there. We went to the office nobody was there. They told us oh nobody’s working today. We won’t be able to give you your contract so it took me another three months of calling them constantly to get ou
It's asking me to rate this as a hotel, when it simply isn't, it's a campground although they do have some cabins to rent. My parents purchased a membership whenever I was a child and upheld it since. To say that my childhood was spent here is accurate. I've watched it change and develop over the years. Recently I stayed overnight with my parents and my children. The stay was perfect, wasn't crowded seeing as it's the off season. I have stayed in the cabins before, it was very nice with a nice kitchen and very spacious porch. Although I do wish they would bring back an activity director.
Really nice, quiet campground. Check in was so easy and they guided us to our site. The large campground is fairly flat, most sites have plenty of space. They have a section near the lake that is very nicely landscaped around the sites and cabins. There is a general store, laundry, corn hole, horseshoes, mini golf. They have canoes and kayaks at the lake. All in a long leaf pine forest. Beautiful.
This was a complete surprise to us as first time visitors to the resort. While we were expecting an above average park, we were pleasantly surprised by just how elevated this park is, especially all the amenities. We are already trying to extend our stay this trip and adding this park to our rotation of east coast resorts. You really need to visit the website or talk to camper because there is not enough space here to go into how amazing we find this park.
