SureStay Plus by Best Western Gold Beach

Positive: A wonderful place to stay Staff great Negative: Nothing I would say I didn’t like

So I've been to Gold Beach Oregon many times. Normally I stay at Ireland's Rustic lodges but their prices for their rustic cabins have gone up quite a bit in the last year. Being a Diamond BW member I thought I'd try this property. Overall it's fine with the following exceptions: 1) if you book the top tier rooms which are on the 3rd floor.....be advised, the "ocean view" is blocked by the wood balcony fences for lack of a better word........if you sit down in the plastic adirondac chairs provided, you have to look between the slats to see the ocean or stand up. (And I'm 6ft tall). The other thing is, if you have difficulty with stairs, the stairs down to the trail to the beach are not for you. Ireland's for instance, has a sloping path down to their grassy area and the beach.

This hotel is conveniently located within driving distance of the South Oregon coast's Scenic Corridor. There are a number of beautiful beaches and overlooks to be explored on the way to the California border. The rooms are clean and very spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the beach. They have guest laundry and will sell you both quarters and soap if you need it. Everyone who works here is nice.

From the moment I walked into our room I fell in love I loved the balcony and seeing the stars from it! I loved the soothing sound of the beach especially sleeping with the door open to hear the sounds of the waves. I miss it already hope to visit again I give our stay more then 5 stars it’s deserves millions of stars 😊

Have you ever had a car and just told yourself that you were going to drive it until the Wheels came off? Well, that's what I think is going on with this place. At one point in time, it was shiny and new and no doubt dazzled, but now it's just kind of chugging along despite all the squeaks and stutters. For reference, my partner and I stayed on the bottom floor (which is the dog-friendly floor) in early December. The location is very convenient, and the view from the balcony is great, and it's super easy and quick to get to the beach. The breakfast available also wasn't bad. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And finally, the pool and hot tub accomplish what they need to. We genuinely enjoyed our stay here and would come back, but I personally couldn't rate this higher than a thre
