Super 8 by Wyndham Staunton

One of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in in the last 2 weeks. The hotel itself was also very clean and the lobby had nice Decor and lighting. My back was hurting really bad that day and when my key stopped working the front desk brought me a new one while I sat down in the hallway.

Place was nice. Room smelled a bit musty. Breakfast area could be a bit cleaner. Only issue was after reservations where made about a week out from stay a family member called to confirm their reservations and the employee on the phone said (my name not hers) was has reservations there. Umm that is private information and should not be shared, which caused ruckus with another family member.

Mexican restaurant near by and DQ next door. Best lobby for a Super 8, period. Clean, warm rooms, good bed. Just off hwy Interstate 55 an hour or so south of Springfield Illinois.

The night clerk has quite the mouth telling me to knock my husband on the head, because she upset him off by telling him there were downstairs rooms and there were not, she was also speaking to us in a condesending manner which I tried to just deal with nicely; my father in law had just passed and we were very tired, and in no mood for her drama, the room itself was beautiful. But the bar across the street had a few crazy loud drivers that made me uncomfortable when I had to run out to my vehicle it was very dark, and I did not feel protected. There is no elevator for your belongings . When ww left I asked for a receipt and tgey gave me a copy of my registration. I had to call and request they send me my actual charges receipt. The morning clerk stated thats what they always give custome
