Super 8 by Wyndham Portland ME

Wish there was an option for zero stars. The front desk person seemed nice but the manager not so much. Booked thru priceline thru my brother and his card information, when i got there i gave them my card to place the normal "hold" for your stay. Checked in, went to room and immediately checked out. not only was i not refunded but for the following week i was charged 4 different "hold" charges. When trying to speak to the manager about this issue she proceeded to just tell me that it was my banks fault and to contact them. I should have been charged ONE HOLD charge NOT 4. but somehow this isnt the hotels doing its my banks!

Being honest, booked this hotel as I seen there was a pool and hot tub, was pretty excited for that, i arrive and get told there is none here. So that was a bummer, our room was pretty clean, compared to other reviews and pics i seen on here. Our room was quite and had a good night sleep, it will do as we just needed a night to stay

Great location with friendly, helpful staff who went above and beyond. Room was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. Hotel facilities were well-maintained and breakfast offered good variety. Only minor issue was occasional noise from hallway traffic. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Solid value for money.

Was coming through Maine from a hunting trip and stopped here to rest for the night. As I was checking in the place looked sketchy but I was trying to be positive. After securing a room I went to move my truck and found three different individuals smoking crack right outside the lobby doors. I immediately cancelled my room and left. While cancelling the room I told the receptionist what I saw and why I was cancelling and he just smiled. They still charged me for my room and said that’s the cancellation fee even though I never even set foot inside the room. It’s a shame a place like this allows explicit drug use. It’s even more sad that they robbed me with that fee even though they did not provide a safe and comfortable environment. Please read this review before even considering th

More of a home than I’ve had in years. Love the staff, clean rooms and beds. Everything you need to go to sleep with. I’ve been here enough that I kinda feel like the staff is family-ish, lol. I’ve been shipped all over the place. Now I have prostate cancer and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. At 11 I’m really homeless. I wish past patrons hadn’t messed up rooms here. I need a place to stay until I get into my final home. Never have to move again. Ugh. This stay was quiet as usual, and everything was clean and welcoming, as usual. I love this place. I’ve grown up a lot harder than most. On the west coast in the 80’s and 90’s. The world was different then. Like night and day. So the Super 8 Wyndham is a decent place, for a decent price. I’ll miss this ‘home’.
