Super 8 by Wyndham Port Royal/Beaufort

Affordable and great location for closeness to parris island marine base. 8-14 minutes depending on traffic. Closest you'll find to not being on base. The 3 beds made it very convenient for our families to allow for additional people without having to get extra rooms.

Positive: The location was nice and the room was spacious. Updates done with marginal craftsmanship have started to show their age and lack of routine maintenance. Overall, it was clean, but beginning to feel "worn" from not being routinely deep cleaned. Negative: The breakfast was nothing but cold cereal and a hodgepodge of microwaveable or toaster-ready junk food. And the worst coffee ever, which was gone before the end of breakfast hours. One of the clerks at the front is very personable and the other is not.

Check in was ok. The rooms were dirty. There was a dirty hand print in the shower, toilet looked as if it had been sat on so much that it has permanent dirt prints on it. The beds were XL twin size which is impossible for couples to sleep on. Stale coffee and fruit for breakfast.

I brought my family to support our Marine Recruit during his liberty, and I booked with Super 8. Our stay was fabulous! The service is great, very lovely people, and our room was clean and inviting. Will be booking worth them for our Marines graduation!

The staff here is amazing! Down here for Marine graduation for my son! The owner and the assistant general manager are both so sweet and allowed us to check in early after our long drive from Kentucky! Thank you so much. We will be back when I come back to get my son!
