Super 8 by Wyndham New Castle

Stayed 1 night because of seeing a show in Wilmington. Budget motel but the room was clean, bathroom had recently been remodeled, bed was comfy and the check in/out was easy. I also like that the room had a fridge and microwave. Motel is right off of 95 with gas stations and restaurants near by. Quick 15 drive into downtown Wilmington.

Excellent service Clean and updated rooms Excellent management with great ideas for the hotel. The new owner is updating the hotel. Do not make it look like 1950 he’s updating it with newer model better breakfast options more vending machines. I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a clean and friendly place to stay.

Positive: Good value compared to other nearby motels.Easy access from various points. Negative: Some furnishings in the room need to be updated or repaired.

I recently stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham in New Castle. The main positives were the price, location, and the friendly staff, all of which made the stay convenient and budget-friendly. However, the room itself had several issues. There was a noticeable odor of marijuana upon entering. The door required significant force to open and close, and the room lacked basic amenities like an iron and ironing board. The water pressure was weak, the HVAC system was extremely dirty, and the threshold between the entry and room flooring was loose. I also found one of the lights burned out and the freezer in the mini-fridge needed defrosting. As for breakfast, there wasn’t much offered beyond the absolute basics. Wonderful experience during my overnight day. Excellent value for the money. Room was clean and the mini fridge and air conditioning units worked perfectly. Check-in was easy and the front desk host was very nice. Lite breakfast was a little less than desired with minimal food choices, and a lack of cream and sugar. Nevertheless, that did not detract from my stay. I would stay there again.
