After traveling for hours and having to come to town because a family member passed the desk clerk was rude and very unprofessional. We checked in around 930pm. The desk clerk was wearing halloween pajamas and no shoes. She was putting stuff out for breakfast. My phone wouldn't work when we were trying to get checked in and instead of offering help or giving us advice she just turns to the computer and didn't say anything word. If I had been by myself I'm not sure if would have been able to check in. We had to use someone else's phone to finish the process. I worked in the hotel industry for more then a decade and have never written a bad review before but this takes the cake. When I walked into the room it was stifling hot. It's January. The heat doesn't need to be that hot. I went to the
Honestly this is one of those true surprises. Let me start with this, what they lack in aesthetics they make up in service. The staff is top of line, especially Gigi. She is phenomenal, very helpful, caring and hospitable. The building itself is old but they are doing everything they can to get it to where it needs to be. The room i was in was updated and folks the TV was great, especially since I wanted to watch the softball championships. Honestly it was the small things, they are doing to make this a good property. I'll definitely stay again, once they get a good breakfast they will be #1
Stayed here for the jamboree. The room had weird smells and the furniture had white stuff all over it, but the front desk lady was so nice and helpful. She always kept a smile on whenever I came in and asked what the jamboree had for the day. The day the boss came in, I did not appreciate when he called her an idiot in front of me when she was explaining that the key was to her apartment and he just berated her and called her names. If he was there I would not have stayed if I known that's how he talks to his employee in front of guests like that. Overall the place is run down but the lady made the stay worth it.
Positive: Very convenient commuting to Madison Municipal Airport for my Pilot Training and very quiet Negative: Yes, very poor lighting in the room, Need more lamps or ceiling light
When I arrived I went in to check in for my reservation. The lady at the desk refused to check me in at the front desk and told me I have to check in through the link. When I found it complicated to check in through the app/ link they canceled my reservation and simply said that there are 2 other places I could stay in town thank goodness that they canceled me because I went to americinn and had a wonderful worry free stay
