Super 8 by Wyndham Lake of the Ozarks

Clean rooms, nothing fancy but clean. My wife has trouble with stairs and when the manager realized it he immediately upgraded her to a floor level suite at no upcharge. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness. Will definitely stop here again if I'm needing a room in the area. Easy access from the highway.

So the guy at the front desk wasn't rude just not very friendly. There was snow everywhere outside. They didn't shovel the sidewalk, they didn't have the parking lot plowed and when I asked about when it snowed he said a few days ago? ?? And I said you still didn't plow the parking lot? Or shovel? Someone could slip and fall. Then he asked me "Who do I call for that?" What?! I thought dude I'm from out of town idk? I said a plow company who takes care of business's parking lot... Now I was concerned on the heat that was blasting at 80°. I like it warm, but I can't sleep in that. I had to turn it down. Now I have read they do that to keep roaches away. All the noise scares them off. Now I didn't see any bugs. Everything was very clean. No smoke smell, no old stale smell. There was a coffee

The room was clean and comfortable, complete with mini fridge and microwave. The king sized bed was great. We had a great night's sleep. The breakfast room was neat, clean, and kept fully stocked. Breakfast was great. The staff was polite and helpful.

Positive: I usually stay at a Mariott but this hotel beats it by everything except sound insulation. Negative: Adjustable shower head didn't adjust.

Location and Service get 5 stars, but unfortunately the room and the hotel get only 2. First, you should know they don't have an elevator. I didn't know that until after we checked in and I asked where it was. I asked them if we could get a room on the first floor but they said they were all booked up (and they may have been, but I only saw 7 cars on the parking lot besides ours the whole weekend). After driving 11 hours, I didn't have the energy to argue. But I have knee problems so climbing the stairs meant I had to take extra pain medicine to cope. The room was clean, except for a sticking/dirty spot on the counter under the TV. But when I sat on the toilet, it moved about 4 inches. The seat wasn't bolted down well, so if you're older, you will probably hurt/strain yourself. The sho
